Leavenworth Bound

I will be in Leavenworth, WA, tomorrow (Saturday) the 17th for an event called Book Buzz at A Book for All Seasons (703 Highway 2, Leavenworth, Washington). The event goes from 1 PM to 3 PM.

The event will also feature authors Jesse E. Freels and David B. Williams. Jesse is a fellow mystery writer. His books are young adult and feature 15-year-old Coug Hawkins, a kid who finds himself in the middle of a murder mystery at Foxbluff Lake. And near as I can tell, David Williams writes natural history books.

The Book Buzz itself sounds like a fun concept, a little different than your average bookstore appearance. Customers get a punch card, they talk to each author and get their cards punched. Then the completed card goes into a drawing for a prize. Although they are certainly welcome to buy a book and get it signed (and we hope you do!), the emphasis is more on the interaction between the authors and the readers.

Which, of course, is the “most funnest” part of any bookstore appearance.

I’ll be talking about (and selling and signing) copies of any of my books — The River City series, the Stefan Kopriva mysteries, Some Degree of Murder, Blood on Blood, or any other title you want! I’ll even sign one of Jesse or David’s books, if they’re not looking.
