100% Royalties to Veteran Support

The Last Hoseman - Frank ZafiroHappy Veteran’s Day!

Yes, I know I’m early. But I don’t want to wait any longer to get the word out about what I’m doing regarding this holiday. As some of you may know, for the last several years, I have supported veterans by donating my royalties from The Last Horseman to Remind.Org.

This year, I am donating 100% of November royalties (in honor of Veteran’s Day) from The Last Horseman. This means my royalty on every paperback, every ebook, and every audio book that sells for this title will go to support our veterans.

What is this book about?  Well…Sandy Banks is the last of The Four Horsemen, a vigilante group of ex-cops determined to right the injustices of a broken court system. But now the project is disintegrating, putting him in the middle of chaos. Betrayed by his final partner, blackmailed by the project head and pursued by federal agents bent on busting the case wide open, Sandy scrambles to escape this mayhem with his soul intact.

So if you’re looking for a fast, action-filled read about vigilante cops while supporting a great cause in the process, The Last Horseman is for you. Remember, I will donate 100% of royalties.

Why am I supporting this cause? Because I believe in what REMIND.ORG is doing. I’m a veteran myself, but was lucky enough not to need services like the ones this program provides. I believe we have a duty to take care of those men and women brave enough to serve in our armed forces and protect our freedoms. It’s not about whether or not you believe in a particular political action or not — it’s about supporting our troops, and healing the wounds (physical and otherwise) that they incurred while serving our nation. Serving us.

Thanks for reading this, and even if you don’t buy this book or donate to a veteran-related charity, thank a veteran, especially those who have served in a combat zone. We can’t know or understand what they experienced, but we sure can support them when they come home.

*Please note:  Beginning in 2014, I am going to make a small change to this campaign. Instead of The Last Horseman, which does feature a veteran as the protagonist, I am going to designate Chisolm’s Debt as the title for which I will be donating all of my November royalties to support veterans. Why the change? Well, being a veteran is a much more integral part of  who Thomas Chisolm is, and this particular book explores veteran’s issues much more directly than The Last Horseman, so I believe it is a more appropriate title for this campaign. Also, being a newer title, it may sell more, resulting in a greater donation to the cause.
