I Found a Way at FindaWay

So, listen up (see what I did there?) — I think audiobooks are cool. I know I like to listen to them. Some of my favorite reading experiences over the past decade have been via listening to a book being read to me. As a result, I’ve wanted to make as many of my books available via audio as possible.

One way I’ve accomplished that is thanks to a fantastic outfit in my old hometown of Spokane — Books in Motion, an audiobook publisher. They have published most of my River City series, all of the Sam the Hockey Player series, and the Charlie-316 series that I write with Colin Conway. River City is brought alive by Michael Bowen, Jerry Sciarro handles Sam, while Damon Abdullah nails the tone of Charlie-316.

For the remainder of my books, I initially turned to ACX, using a royalty share option to get a number of them produced years ago. But due to some pretty disgusting Audible practices (you can google “Audiblegate” if you want to know the full details), I pulled my titles from exclusivity there. After some research, I decided to go with the much more author-friendly FINDAWAY VOICES.

And I’m pretty thrilled with this platform. So much so that, as of this writing, I have 22 titles available there, as well as six currently in production. Findaway makes it easy for readers and really treats authors well. To give you a quick taste of what I mean by that, Audible pays a 25% royalty for non-exclusive sale. Findaway pays 80%.

That’s right. Twenty-five percent versus eighty-five. I bet you’re not wondering why I switched now!

So, if you’re looking for some of my audio books, this is the best place to find them. There is even an Authors Direct Storefront. But they’re also available at whatever outlet you normally use — Audible, Chirp, Apple, Kobo, Barnes and Noble, even Spotify. Or, as always, you can request your library get a copy.

Enjoy!

Now, the caveat is that you will have to use either Spotify or the Author’s Direct app to listen, but both are easy apps to use.

All I ask is that if you enjoy the listen, please consider leaving a review.

Thanks!
