Jeremiah Franklin‘s debut is a young adult novel called Dark Tomorrow: Rise of the Crow. Now, while that sounds a little bit like a comic book, it isn’t at all. It is a post-apocalyptic tale, though, and Franklin describes it as young adult answer to Cormac McCarthy’s The Road.
Dark Tomorrow is the first of what will be a trilogy.
While Franklin’s book isn’t strictly crime fiction, it has a dark edge to it that is in keeping with a lot of the kinds of titles we talk about on the show. Plus Jeremiah lives near my current hometown of Redmond, Oregon, so he gets some local rhythm, too.
