Some Anthology News…and a little novel news, too.

I just received word that Mouthfull of Bullets is going to publish a “Best of Year One” anthology. The Chief Editor, B.J. Bourg, emailed me this weekend with the news. My short story, “Short Till,” will appear in the anthology. It was first published in the debut issue of MFoB. The anthology itself will be printed through Lulu.com and distributed by Bourg and the authors themselves.

As you can see, the cover is sharp. The line-up inside reads like a who’s who of short mystery fiction, including an introduction by one of my favorite people, John Floyd.

If you would like to get a copy of this one, the best method would be directly from me.

Also, another anthology I am scheduled to appear in, Medium of Murder, firmed up the release date to April (a big month, because Aisling’s Oh, Enemy Mine, containing three of my stories, is also due out that month!). The cover for that book turned out great, too. It contains my short story, “Dead Even,” which features Dominic Bracco.

Lastly, I just wanted to say that I’m about 80% finished with the first draft of Beneath a Weeping Sky, the third book in the River City series. It is scheduled for a Fall release, and I expect to be finished with the first draft before the end of the month…which is why I’m going to end this entry right here.
