From here, she responds to a home invasion robbery, resulting in an exchange of gunfire and her capturing one of the robbers. This sets up the remainder of the story, as the rest of the crew escaped… and plan to strike again.

While I think this line is a little more detailed than the opener for And Every Man Has to Die, the latter has brevity in its favor, so I’m going to go with another solid B here.

After a seven year hiatus, I returned to River City (at least in terms of this series) for this novel. It felt good to slip back into the comfortable patrol boots of these characters.

For those who didn’t dig the long wait, not to worry. River City #6 and #7 will both be released in 2019.
